This is a page with some information about older literary reviews of Austen’s works. One source is the book Famous Reviews, selected and edited by R. Brimley Johnson (London, 1914). An eBook copy of Famous Reviews is available from Project Gutenberg. A free pdf copy is also available from Google Books. The following reviews from the journal The Quarterly Review are in the book:

    re archbishop Richard Whately, writing on Jane Austen: Northanger Abbey; Sense and Sensibility….Jan edition, 1821, The Quarterly Review, see above. Is the link available yet? What form will it take? Is there a copy of Whately’s review available any where?
